Metric's "Police and the Private" would work well in the new romantic comedy, "Definitely, Maybe": "As a father (Ryan Reynolds) goes through a difficult divorce, his young daughter (Abigail Breslin) starts questioning him on his entire romantic history. So, he tells her the tale of the three great loves of his life and she must guess which woman eventually became her mother. Is it the sweet-as-pie girl-next-door Emily (Elizabeth Banks)? His best friend (Isla Fisher)? Or the flaky journalist (Rachel Weisz)?" -Movies.com
Lyrics: "Lord lord mother we are all losing love/Lord listen lover we are all missing mama"
A music video was never made for this song, but I managed to find a homemade one on youtube:

"Heart Full of Black" - Burning Brides
I discovered this band when I first started working for Black Sand Music, a music placement agency who takes care of the band's licensing. "Heart Full of Black" would work great in "Wanted," based upon Mark Millar's graphic novel and starring Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman, and James McAvoy. (Burning Brides are today's Myspace Records Spotlight!)
"Last Words" - The Real Tuesday Weld
I have this song in mind for two movies that don't have trailers yet. So for now, I'll keep them a surprise. Keep you coming back for more. For now, please enjoy the song. It truly is brilliant:

"Fidelity" - Regina Spektor
This isn't really a suggestion to use a song. The song I would have suggested was used!!! Did I copy them or did they copy me? My video was up first!!! Compare the following trailer with another one of my O.C. music videos! (notice the identical scenes in which they both try on wedding dresses; notice the part in The O.C. video in which we hear, "suppose I kept on singing love songs just to break my own fall" and Summer sits watching Julie's wedding)

"A Really Good Cloak" - Mark Isham
My love for movie scores is just as great as my love for soundtracks. Because a movie score composer only begins a song once he is given a movie, I have decided to do somthing new - use already existing scores and place them into different scenes. I have used Mark Isham's "A Really Good Cloak" in "The O.C." (Its fun to see how the scene changes when you move the gun shot to a different moment in the song.)

"Take the Money" - Carina Round
I watched the first episode of Dirty Sexy Money. And this is the second time I thought of a Carina Round song since I started this blog. She's that good! Seriously, why doesn't anybody know about this girl yet???

Leigh Nash - "Ocean Size Love"
I think the "P.S. I Love You" soundtrack will be incomplete without Leigh Nash's "Ocean Size Love." The movie and the song are soul mates! If the whimsical sound doesn't convince you, listen to the lyrics and you can't help but agree.

Billie Holiday - "God Bless the Child"
I would use a remixed version of this song for "Fierce People." If I were to use only a section of this song (despite it being perfect in its entirety), I would use the bridge. It sounds just haunting enough to match the movie's title and overall feel.

Gary Jules - "Devil Keeps Grinnin"
It's been a while since Gary Jules' version of "Mad World," graced the cult hit, "Donnie Darko." Well, its about time Jules was on another soundtrack. His music was made for movies. Case in point: "Devil Keeps Grinnin" is made for "When Did You Last See Your Father."

Boomkat - "Burn"
"Burn" is just perfectly pop, which makes it perfect for the upcoming Amanda Bynes comedy, "Sydney White." Click on "Burn" on her myspace music player.
Billy Talent - "Fallen Leaves"
Rather than a soundtrack, a score will, no question, provide the music for "Into the Wild." However, I hope that at least this song makes it onto the cd, if only to be used as background for the begining of the story's epic adventure:

Darren Hayes - "How to Build a Time Machine"
This song is obviously really good for the new upcoming television drama, "Journeyman." And Darren Hayes is amazing recenlty! Especially live! This video is proof:

The Brunettes - "Loopy Loopy Love" and "These Things Take Time"
These songs would be great for the upcoming comedy "He's Just Not That Into You," Drew Barrymore's latest Flower Films production. The movie hasn't even started shooting yet, meaning they still have time to take my advice!
Once you click on the following link, just click on the songs you want to listen to, (meaning "Loopy Loopy Love" and "These Things Take Time") :

Patrick Wolf - "The Magic Position"
The music video to this song can be a bit distracting if your listening to it for the first time. But this song would be perfect for the new upcoming Josh Schwartz teen soap, "Gossip Girl." I'd like to even wager a little something that it makes it onto the show's soundtrack by the end of the first season.

Talib Kweli - "Lonely People"
I remember seeing "Lonely People" as a poem on "Def Poetry Jams." I was so excited to find out that it was made into a song. However, it was never made into a music video. They could make up for that by using it in the indie drama "Half Nelson."

Carina Round: "Come to You"
If you've seen the preview for "Lars and the Real Girl," the new Ryan Gosling comedy, you know this song would be perfect for that movie's soundtrack.
